About Tiffany, RN, BSN, IBCLC
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Nurse (RN) with a decade of experience working with families, I am confident that we can work together to meet your goals related to breastfeeding!
I had no idea when I wrote my first research paper in nursing school, titled “The Benefits of Breastfeeding”, that my journey would lead me to helping families in this capacity. That was in 2009, but it wasn’t until I gave birth to my one and only child in 2015 that breastfeeding became truly personal to me. I experienced every kind of challenge from sore nipples to low supply to mastitis and pumping while working night shifts as a new graduate nurse. Without a doubt, I believe that my journey would have been easier with a knowledgable and compassionate lactation provider.
So, I set out to become for others what I did not have for myself. My experience working in Maternal-Child health in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and on an LDRP floor motivated me to obtain my IBCLC credential. It has been an honor and privilege working with families to help them meet their breastfeeding goals, big and small. I believe that knowledge is power, and when combined with patience and a skilled provider, it can make all the difference.
Arbor Vitae means “Tree of Life” in Latin. The literal and figurative symbolism of lactation was the inspiration behind my business name. From the actual anatomy of the mammary ducts of the breasts to the nourishing of babies with milk made perfectly for them, lactation is a special design that nature intended to bond mothers and babies.
