Insurance and Fees

Did you know that the Affordable Care Act mandates that lactation care and equipment are FULLY COVERED as health insurance benefits? Breastfeeding care is not a luxury, it is preventative medical care.

My goal is to make this essential care accessible to all who seek it. Please refer to the different payment methods I offer.

    • Initial visit $225

    • Follow up visit $200

    • Virtual visit, Initial $150

    • Virtual visit, follow up $125

I accept FSA/HSA cards as well as Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX

  • Did you know that you may receive up to six lactation visits FULLY COVERED** by insurance?

I am partnered with The Lactation Network (TLN) to bill most PPO insurance companies including BCBS, Aetna, United Healthcare, and others! I am also partnered with Wildflower Health to bill Cigna claims.

  • No problem! I offer a self pay option for patients not covered by insurance.

For those out of network, I can generate a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Preparing For Your Visit

    • Please make that your baby is hungry if we will be addressing any feeding challenges! Do your best not to feed within an hour or so of our visit, to ensure that we can work together on feeding. If baby becomes hungry closer than that time frame, try to offer the baby a “snack” and avoid a full feed.

    • Please have all of your typical feeding supplies ready. This includes any positioning supports, bottles/nipples, pumps, flanges/inserts, nipple shields, etc.

    • Please secure any pets prior to our visit. I LOVE a fur baby, but sometimes our animal friends become protective of their space and humans. It is helpful to minimize distractions during our time together.

    • Please notify me immediately if you or anyone in your household is sick or has been exposed to any viral illnesses, including COVID-19. Household members should be symptom free for at least 24 hours. A virtual consult can be conducted, depending on the consult reason or the visit can be rescheduled for a later date.

    • Failure to disclose household illness prior to my visit will result in visit cancellation and a $100 fee will be assessed.

  • Many lactation concerns can be addressed virtually! It is essential that you are connected to a stable wi-fi network and in a brightly lit and quiet environment. It is ideal to have a second person available to help move the camera around so that I can get the best views possible.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. I know that sometimes life happens; in the event of unexpected or unavoidable circumstances, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can work out some type of solution! If cancellations occur within 24 hours of our visit without rescheduling, a $75 cancellation fee will be charged to the card on file.
